    Can anyone tell me....

    All the differences between a 2.26 Pentium-m and a 3.6 pentium 4?

    Big points for these:
    battery Life Differences
    Computing power
    heat of lap
gaming bottleneck issues with todays top games

Pentium-M will give you better battery life and produce less heat, but it wouldn't have hyperthreading.

Even though it runs at a lower clock speed a ~2ghz Pentium-M can perform right on par with a 3.4-3.6Ghz Pentium 4. Benchmarks ---> http://www.gamepc.com/labs/view_cont...ngaming&page=6

If it is for a laptop, I would definantly go with Pentium-M.

    MacBook Pro 13-inch, 2.3Ghz i5, 8GB RAM, 640GB HD
    Desktop: i5 2500K (w/ CM Hyper 212 Plus) , 16GB DDR3, 2x240GB OCZ Agility SSD, 2x1TB in RAID0, 2xeVGA GeForce GTX 570, Corsair TX750M PSU, ASUS Sabertooth P67, Dell 2209WA eIPS LCD
    Home Server: Intel Pentium G630, ASRock H61M/U3S3, 4GB RAM, 80GB + 2TB HD

I fully agree with mynameis, the pentium-m is a great mobile processor, the small loss in performance over the topend desktop processors are more than compensated for with its lower power demands which means better batterylife, quieter cooling and generally a cooler running laptop.

I run two Pentium-m gaming systems and both offer excellent gaming performance.

thanks for the input...i think i will go for a 2.26 pen-m with an x700 or 6800 video card. that should perform well for any game i will be playing and will give me better battery life
