Toshiba Satellite: 15" or 17" ? PLEASE HELP!
Hi guys,
I'm confused b/w which one to go for: the toshiba M-45 (15" screen) or the toshiba M-60 (17" screen).
both have same hardware specs (motherboard, cpu, ram, hdd, dvd/rw), except that:
the M-45 has 64mb Ati Radeon X600 & 12-cell battery & bluetooth
the M-60 has 128mb Ati Radeon X600 & 8-cell battery; no bluetooth
they are very close in price, so that's not a major issue. but i need recommendations, advice, ....etc
by the way, the M-60 has 3 different colors to choose from; dunno which looks best
thanks in advance.
p.s: i'm buying it from www.toshibadirect.com

well that depends entirely on what you want to do with it...
Gaming wise the 128 Mb is going to be better...but you're not going to do much gaming with an x600.
Bluetoothe is nice to have, but if you don't already have anything in mind to use with it, then there isn't any real need.
and lastly, I can't figure out why they'd team up a bigger screen and a smaller battery

the screen doesnt matter as much as the resolution IMHO...
for a 10-14" screen i would want XGA/WXGA
for a 15-16" screen i would want SXGA/WSGA
for 17"+ i would want UXGA/WUXGA

I'd get the M45 - the 15" screen is more than big enough, and the 17" is just not portable anymore. Unless the machine is going to sit on your desk most of the time, 17" screen notebooks are an abomination.

15". Anything bigger isn't a notebook anymore.
