    1) Get a switchbox. Connect your 2.1 speakers to the switchbox

    2) Get an adapter that converts 2xRCA male to 1/8" ministereo male to connect your PS2 to the switchbox.

    3) Get a standard 1/8" male to 1/8" male cable to connect to the switchbox

    4) Eat twinkies.

thanks... its late and maybe why but I'm still lil confused so I do have to have the switch or is that just to make it easier to switch back and forth? and If I do have to have it that mean I have to plug the ps2 into the computer output one and just not have comp hooked to it or way to have both? thanks

Yes, you have the switchbox so you don't have to keep unplugging cables every time you want to switch.

Your PS2 goes directly into your monitor via Composite cable or via S-Video cable. It will not go through your PC in any way.
