New Motherboard CPU and RAM on Hard drive from old HP, No response!

    I owned as my Primary computer a HP a6119h, Today I went and bought a MSi NF750-G55. A AMD Phenom II 955 Black 3.20Ghz and 3Gb Patriot DDR3 12800 Memory 3x1Gb.

I am attempting to use my old Hard Drive and DVD-ROM from my HP. Install of components went well. But when I boot up the monitor receives no signal. The motherboard comes on and all the fans, But no bios or anything. The speaker is installed but makes no beeps.

Is this an OS problem or a hardware problem? Any and all help is appreciated!

    Thanks everybody!

I got it figured out, but thank you for the quick response. It was a combination between the wrong video port (had it in onboard DVi, VGA worked) and a bootmgr error that I could only remedy by upgrading to Windows 7.
