Its pretty damn good... but don't expect a typical FPS run around killing. It has a steep learning curve, but I would recommend it. Closest thing to being a soldier out there (I should know, I am ex-RAF).

I like it too, it has great gameplay, makes you really feel like you're out on a battlefield. You're really nervous when moving over vaste open spaces, anxiously looking for enemy soldiers, and BAM the shoot comes from a direction that you missed to look at. Great realism, but you have to like Rouge Spear and Delta Force more over Max Payne and Q3 to like this one. Codemasters seeems to give this one great support, putting out patches and upgrades that gives you more vehicles, weapons and features. Only downside, the graphics, that will shining in some departments, are embarrasing bad in others.
But, overall, well worth a buy, IMO.

Whoever said the graphics are ugly is a complete moron.
Play the game with a decent vid card you will see one of the most realistic sceeneries you ever saw in a game.
Models look like they could have been better when u get real close but thier movement and skeletal animation are incredible.And form a distance its looks so real to watch a jeep or a group of soldiers run or walk by.

Hm, interesting, I'm a moron, that is more than I knew myself. If you read my post, I said that the graphics is great in some departments and worse in some. You actually have the game? Been sitting in a vehicle with some other soldiers? The clipping is horrible, they move really unreal and their hands looks like thick, square shaped hotdogs. I don't call that great graphics. But, yes, the vehicles looks great, and even better from distance, and the scenario looks stunning when not coming too close. And, oh you said something about decent video card, a Geforce 2 Ultra with all details and resolution pumped up to the max and using FSAA 4x, is that decent enough for you?Quote:

As for Op Flash i personally don't like it because there is not enough immediate action. It is too large scale. It seems that people who love CS have mixed emotions about Operation Flashpoint. I never played it but I have seen it played right before me and it seems really cool. I also think the graphics aren't bad. Right now I am waiting for Ghost Recon. I'll see how that is first before I spend my money on it though (being a starving student and all).

Well, I really wasn't expecting this much input. I think I'm gonna have to check it out...unfortunately that involves spending $40 but, it'll probably be worth it. I'm looking for a game that will actually last me a while for once...Deus Ex took me less than a week on hard. So I kinda like the long mission idea. On the other hand, I really don't like the fact that you can only save once per mission. As for graphics, I think I can deal with some crappy areas...I mean come on, I still play Jedi Knight 2 every once in a while...doesn't bother me that much.
As far as Ganja is concerned...you need to calm down and stop bashing everyone who doesn't agree with you. Not very cool...not cool at all.

As for the save feature, the games saves automatically once per mape I think, that plus your own save that you can chose to use at any time. Not fun if you save and the next minute the game saves for you, but that the way it works.Quote:

And, there's a cheat that lets you save as many times you want per map, if you chose to use it. Personally, I don't but if this is something that will stop you to buy the game, I thought you should know about it.
