problems with dvds

hi guys,
i noticed that with most movies, when i played dvds, there was this scratching noise coming from my speakers. i have a subwoofer with four satellites (i don't think they're certified for any fancy stuff), and they play everything just great, but with dvds i've noticed this horrible problem. it happens at all times.. even when the settings on the dvd player (i think it was windvd or somethihg) are at stereo. any suggestions?

Yeah, I know what your problem is. Your sound card is probably the problem, you can just pick up a creative at the store for around 50 bucks.
