How long do you keep your overclocked computer on usually? What is the longest time you have ever gone without turning it off? Is it doing anything like SETI while idle? Just trying to figure out what some people consider stable and others don't.
I've had mine clocked down to 1502mhz for the past week, but was going at about 1550mhz 24/7 for a month or two before SETI crashed on me and I had to reboot.
All the time...it gets rebooted now and again when I have to shove another HDD in.
I keep it on most of the day....
Except at night when little coca has to go to sweep and ready for skool ....:rolleyes: :o

I leave it on from about 7am to about 11pm. I only consider my comp stable if I can use every piece of my software for as long as I want without a single crash. Thats stable, not ... well, I can run for an hour before I have to reboot ... or whatever. Stability = stable under ALL conditions. I don't use "Toast" though, because I don't have it. But, I don't really do anything that odd, so...
The only intensive games I have are CS (which is NOT that intensive), NFS (all eye candy on) and Tony Hawk 2 (which we all know is VERY picky with graphics card o/c). All other games are pretty old (*sigh*). So, for me stability = can play any/all games all day long with no crashes/artifacts.

I usually turn off monitors and leave systems running. If they crash for no apparant reason I make the reason apparent and fix it. Meaning if a game crashes and it's and it's the fault of an OC the OC gets backed down or I run at stock if neccessary. The computer or component then runs at that speed forever (unless I think of a better cooling solution, or get a component that can handle the OC better, or need to run a competive bench against a friend ;) ,etc...) I like free speed, but I don't tolerate twitchy systems.
Specificly, when I say my system runs at xxx speed, I mean it hasn't given me any problems (related to overclocking) at that speed.
I was installing software once and it asked me to reboot. I was surfing so I clicked "no, let me restart later". Well needless to say I didn't turn off the computer for a few weeks, and was shocked when something was finishing its installation weeks later. Most of my reboots are jump the old habit of turning the computer off.
24/7 usually running Seti, but I haven't got it up on this new rig yet.

Ever since I downloaded [email protected] close to 20 hours a day.
I haven't turned it off since the last time I've turned it off to do an upgrade. I have restarted a couple of times though.
As long as I'm awake it's on.
I only restart my computer when i need to install somthing, or i feel the need to tweak things in my bios. These things are rare though so i leave my comp on 27/4 and my comp runs on win2k for weeks with out a hiccup. For shits and giggles i reboot my computer if it hasnt been in a month or so.

24/7 really, I just turn off the monitor. Longest I went without rebooting was about a month for my server that was on 180fsb, I rebooted cause I downloaded an updated driver for some program. Oh and it was on an AMD system. ;)
