CPU help!
Ok, this problem has gone on long enough and you guys are pretty good about fixing things so here we go ;) Running an Althon XP 1600+, which at 133fsb runs @ 1400mhz.. Right now I'm running at 125fsb (~1312mhz). I can change the fsb around in the bios and if I turn it up to 133fsb and reboot this message comes up:
Windows could not start because of an error in the software.
Please report this problem as:
load needed DLLs for kernel.
Please contact your support person.
That happens most of the time, SOMETIMES I can get it to boot at 133fsb, othertimes I get a blue screen that says something about an error and it did a memory dump. Yesterday I proceded to reformat my comp, do a fresh full install of xp (originally upgraded from 98), etc in hopes that would solve the problem. Got done with all that, spent hours upon hours redownloading the latest drivers for everything on there, still same problem :( Most of my specs in sig if you need to know anything else I can post it tomorrow.. Thanks!

try taking off the cmos battery for 15 minutes, could be a BIOS F*** up

I'm not 100% positive, but I don't think the A7M supports XP processors. I might be wrong.

Ok removed the CMOS battery for 15min, go into bios up it to 133fsb, reboot and...
(blue screen)
Problem has been detected by Windows:

The a7m266 ships with the new v1005bios which supports xp processors :/ I know for a fact xp procs work on it with other people, mine works, just not as intended :)

Been trying to figure this out some more and I've come up with a new blue screen error:
ACPI.sys - followed by bunch of numbers like after the STOP in post above.
My question though is, when you build a computer who do you call for something like this? Would I call Asus, AMD, Newegg? Dont want to call Microsoft looked like they charge for tech support and only want to pay for support as a last resort. Thanks again..

What kinda temps does your BIOS report? (give it time to warm up)
Got any other RAM lying around?

Average about 45*C cpu temp.. Sadly I have no extra DDR sticks laying around as my last comp used SDRAM :(
