That sucks dude. Maybe its time to look into a set of 641s?
And maybe Logitech should hire you to test their speakers. :-)
Anyways, there was a review linked on neoseeker that showed how to get at the fuse, but i cant find it. Will try again later after class.
yeah but this time i blew it and it wasnt logitechs fault. i just got a bunch of new rap and decided that, well, its time to crank these bad boys. yeah, bad idea. i had them so fricken loud and then blah, it sounded all wierd and i was like ah ****. i checked the fuse and its fine. so im going out to buy a 8 inch 200 watt sub to throw in there. see what happens. the only thing im a little worried about is the sub im getting is a 4 ohm and the one i have right now is an 8 ohm. the guy at mobile music said that his hometheater sub is running a 4 ohm speaker in his and has been for like a year so i suppose it will be okay.

I'm not sure, but putting a different driver in that box may have some unintended results---namely, i believe that box was tuned for a specific driver, the one it shipped with.
BTW, out of curiosity, how high did you have them cranked? And how high was the volume settings on your sound card?

well i now have a rockford fosgate 8inch sub in there and it sounds great! it actually sounds better than the old one. my windows volume is always at about 75 percent and my winamp volume is always at 100 percent. it was on for about 30 minutes at a pretty loud volume and then at really loud volume for like 3 minutes when it blew. bummer. the fuse was fine. the new sub sounds great!!!!!!! i just hope it dosent blow my amp. its a 200 watt sub with a 400 watt max. but if the amp is not putting out more than a certain amount then i dont think it will blow anything......

Listening to mp3s, right? Hmmmm....thats disturbing that they blew at less than half volume with high level sources like mp3s....how high did you have the bass in the windows mixer and on the control pod?

yeah but it was still hella loud. like it was as loud as it would go without distorting. the bass is always at the halfway mark but a half a click down. bass was 3/4 on the control pod. so it was cranked pretty hard...:D but im totally cool with it and you will see a thread in like 1 minute about why.....
