I had to up my VIO voltage from 3.5 to 3.6 to get my oc'd system stable. Upon oc'ing further, my system became unstable. I fear that I may have to up the VIO again from 3.6 to 3.7 to remain stable, is this dangerous?

Just keep it under 10% increase and have good cooling going. It can decrease the lifespan of some parts/the mobo but nothing drastic. Your system will still last 5 years, don't worry :)
