Looks like my GF4 Ti just died.
Turned my PC on this morning, nothing, not even a VGA beep. No power on either :confused:
Replaced card and it worked fine. Tested the Leadtek Ti 4400 in another PC and that PC stayed dead too.
RMA time. First video card to ever die on me. :( :( :(

Happened to me before with my Riva 128. :rolleyes:
However it came DOA. :( I think every 1 in 500 cards is DOA or something. That's counting all manufacturers.
Only card to ever die on me was an ATI :rolleyes:
It was a Radeon VE or something like that. Died after 7 weeks or so. :(

I recieved my Visiontek Geforce 4 DOA. When I opened the package a piece of the board was lying in the bottom of the plastic shipping conatainer. I had to return it for another one.
That stinks. Getting the RMA and waiting is always the hardest part.
Sorry to hear, that's not fun at all... after going through so many 8500's that I can't remember I've learned to hate RMAing :(
Maybe the new card's cooling will make better ram contact. Always a small bright side :)
Damn, damn, damn. It was an nVidia card even.
Happens to the best of us, though: When I first installed my TNT2 Ultra (back when it was $250+), it fried my entire system. Beats me why though :rolleyes:
....and it was an Nvidia. Asus GeForce 2 Pro (V7700) after a reboot (just beeped like no video, never powered up again), and a friend had his Elsa GF3 die on him (and the replacement Asus GF3 he actually wankered by spreading AS all over it) so it does happen.....

My old 3DFX 1MB video card is still cruising along! It's like 6 years old! :cool: It's awesome for Quake! :rolleyes:
I'm sorry to hear that about your video card. The fan on my old GF2 GTS was making all kinds of noises. All I did was tell Gateway and they gave me a GF3! Now that was a deal. :cool:

Well, currently using a GF2 Pro till I get the other one back. I was overclocking it, but I doubt that was the cause of it.
Come to think of it, this isn't the first, it's the second card that's died on me. The first was a 16MB RIVA TNT...on boot up there were funny lines everywhere, sign of bad memory. Sucky.
mystif, how many Radeons did you go through? I thought it was only one?

I know two or three were killed from me OCing them to death, and either one or two just died from stupidity (I learned my lesson). My site only says one, but I was too mad to say "recieved my radeon back after RMAing it" however many times I did *grumble*
