I know this is probaby ot but I wanted to tell you to come to it anyway. It isn't finished yet but there is a message board and some other cool stuff. I've designed a few sites..one is horribly outdated, but here's a link.
I'll try not to be too critical :)
First, the main page needs some..something. It's blank, except for the links.
Second, you should have return links on your linked pages (Kayaking, biathlon) so it is possible to return to the main page, if not continue to other pages.
Third, give it some color...keep adding content, work with different layouts, and find what you like best. I believe Trav was working on a website for a competition - if you do a search, you may be able to find it.
