You are the man!! Exactly what I was looking for. One question, why didn't you include the giga-byte, it ranks right under the Epox as far as performance goes, and above in some apps.
Unfortunately, some companies declined to participate, as in any large roundup.
nice Vince
If I hadn't got one last month I'd get one now; an Epox that is
Vine, you may want to check your charts again on the "overclocking performance" section of your review. You have the A7V333 labeled A7V133...other than that..GREAT review ;)Quote:

Ah yes, a single mistake in Excel is the gift that keeps on giving. :DQuote:

All fixed up now and thanks. 11,000+ words and there's bound to be a few typos.
Ok, I missed that. Thanks.Quote:

He He...I didn't think you'd want that mistake up there. I know I wouldn't. All-in-all....great review! You picked my favorite of the bunch ;)Quote:

nice piece...too bad gigabyte chose not to enter. was iwill omitted for the same reason?
Good well rounded review. I'm suprised by the performance difference in some areas which is a pleasant suprise since I picked the Epox board a long time ago when it first came out. Having an older Athlon 1.33, is it easy to increase the FSB without much tweaking? I have it up to 166 with the multi clocked down so I run at 1.50.
Greetings,
as a non-overclocker, i like the soyo. that many onboard features without the chance of conflicts is just to easy to pass up. i would love to see them come out with a revision that supports temperature monitering with the thoroughbred, maybe in a kt400 model or something? i would hate to fry a 2200+ or something....
sirriff
Interesting thing is my Western Digital 20GB 7200 ata100 HD pulled a better number than any of those boards did (think they just used the 40GB version of my drive). This drive is on my 2nd computer and uses an Epox8kha+. It scored a 765 on the PCmark2002.

Sure and if I slap an IBM in there and the scores shoot up like mad.Quote:

It's a funny benchmark, and it can really only be compared to your own specific HD and configuration. It doesn't seem to be a comparative speed mark that can cross system boundaries, but a very relative score.
For that reason, this may be the last time we see it at SE. :D
