I want to pose a question based on the new rules and regulations
Why aren't we(the members) allowed to make celebration posts anymore.Is it so annoying?I'll get to a 1000 posts soon and i want to celebrate it.

one word --> spam
It never really was acceptible, just tolerated. It isn't about computing so it's too OT, plus many members would use it to boost post counts.Quote:

An alternative system which I think would work is this...
When you hit your mark add the line "I finally made it to "phat-shark", PM congrats" to your sig. After a week or so you remove the line and go back to living a normal life.
This way you don't encourage spam posts and still get the glory :D Plus this way everyone who reads one of your posts will know you did it and PM you.
I just might do this to celebrate breaking the 92% mark on Seti@home.
Just make a post in General Hardware that says. What is the best CD-RW drive, and then in the body say: Guys I want to buy a CD-RW drive, which is the best value... Oh by the way i'm now a GWS.Quote:
