Other than the obvious Unreal, Quake 3, or upcoming Doom 3 engine there were some games I played in the past that I have yet to see the game engine reused in ANY game. There games include:
Sacrifice
Giants
Vampire
and Crimson Skies
neone else?

hell ya sacrafice was a bombass game plus skies was to;)
I'd like to see more games use the serious sam:the second encounter engine...one of the things about future games is that there is like only like what 10-15 characters on the screen at most? with the ss engine you can have much much more characters on the screen at a time and still have good graphics and still have good frame rates...
i 2nd ss:tseQuote:

Also, Sacrifice had a friggin amazing engine...other than the fact the game is amazing itself...
Also, the Serious SAM 2 engine would own so much in the properly given hands (Croteam or Raven)
What about Max Payne? Were there any other games using that engine? If not there should be. (i dont really kno much about engines)
neverwinter nights uses their own new engine. vampire had much better graphics if you ask me.
oh yeah, the max payne engine (i think it is called MaxFX) rocks too!! that engine would be kick *** for hitman 2!
I say just stop using the Quake 3 engine. It is over used and I personaly don't like the way games based on this engine play. And the netcode for 56k users is horrible.
agreed...I've grown tired of the quake 3 engine...it was good at the time but there's so many other good engines out there right now that look a lot more better than the quake 3 engine...sometimes I think the origional quake 3 looks better than the other games that use it...Quote:

if you mean that crappy apocalypse or interceptor or enforcer, forget it, if you mean x-com: ufo defence / ufo: enemy unknown engine, then yes :)
oh yeah, there's new x-com (or x-com like) game coming out.. don't remember the name, but looked much like the first one, if you don't count the graphics that is ;)
