Turns out that AS3 isn't the best stuff. The Shin Etsu G-751 Thermal Compound runs at least 1 degree cooler than anything else. Looks like it's time to get some new thermal grease.
BTW: Sorry if somebody already posted this, but I didn't see it posted. Seemed odd as it was on the [H].

the 6 dollar shipping is only if you get it by itself anways...my total shipping for all the parts I ordered was like $20 and I got all the hardware for my comp except case/screen which would cost a little too much to ship in my opinion.
For an average geek, yes. But for me, 3 grams is a bit too little to me. I slather grease over anything that has a removable heatsink, and I often yank it off my processor to clean it off every month or so (don't ask :rolleyes: ).Quote:

Since there's little to no space between the helicoids on my MCX, lots of gunk gets stuck between them. Temperatures do get affected by a few degrees from my experience.Quote:
