thats a bunch of nonesense.
heres a story from today http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=5839
Weed, its impossible to know how old that roadmap is - there is no date on it. The announcement that gotmonopoly was referring to came straight from the CEO a couple of days ago. I see no reason why he'd be overly pessimistic.
We'll just have to wait and see whether there will be an early launch or perhaps another handful of delays...
Lol, that's the first time I have ever seen someone try to contradict an EE Times story with an inquirer story. I don't think there is any question as to which is the more reputable source!Quote:

My thoughts exactly. Hammer is falling into a development/deployment schedule that is very similar to other 64bit chips. And that would result in volume shipments about this time next year.Quote:

lol I can't believe you wrote that  The Inquirer deals in rumors, eetimes is CONSIDERABLY more reliable. The info in the eetimes article comes from AMD’s quarterly conference call a few days ago. I discussed it with a number of people who listened to it. If you are really interested you can probably find it online and listen to it for yourself.Quote:

The Inquirer's good for a few things. First and foremost being remote facts about products that have little known about them.
True, little else to add to that.Quote:

The Inquirer COULD become credible if they speculated a bit less than they do and if their speculation fell right on target more often.

meh. i don't care. i just would like to look at benchmarks. my new system isn't even here yet. it's far too early to even think about a clawhammer. i just hope that the barton core won't have a new pin lay out.
