My Mini-ITX HTPC Rig advice and idea on name

I'm thinking of building a Mini-ITX PC as a Home Entertainment Gadget with the following parts

- VIA EDIA M9000 mobo (just waiting for it to be release)

It will hook up to my 32" TV & look like a small VCR that I want to be able to:

- play NES, Gameboy, SNES, Sega Gensis, NeoGeo, Arcade, PSX and TG-16 games (emulator of course).

* Sure it can't play the latest 3D games but I don't like playing FPS on a TV anyway low res.
- Play VCD, SVCD, DVD and Divx Movies (or any other video format)
- Play my CDs and MP3 to my speaker system.
- * Record Digital Video
- Surf the Web. (already have broadband:)
- Video Conferencing.
- View Photos



I NEED ADVICE AND SUGGESTION ON THE FOLLOWING:

- A good wireless keyboard/mouse combo? (I want something that is 1 piece)
- A good "remote" control gadget that is the size of a TV remote control that can move your mouse

and offer extra buttons for like keyboard buttons and or application launch
- A good PSX joypad to USB adaptor that supports 2 control pads.
- Since I got a free PCI slot what gadget PCI card should I get. (no Sigma Design X card)
I was thinking of a VCD capture card so I can record digital video. still open to suggestion on

this one
- What should I name this system once it's builted. I usually name my systems. Sys1, sys2, sys3

etc... but since this is my first mini entertainment PC I want a special name for it. how about

OmniBox, EpiaPlaySystem, G4Box, Box-O-Fun :P

You can try the Remote Wonder from ATI, I think it can double as a wireless mouse, although a little limited. I think a logitech wireless keyboard would be good, because it comes with a bunch of mulitmedia buttons.

For a mouse I'd use the logitech Cordless Optical TrackMan. Haven't tried it myself but I've heard good things.

For the PSX to PC adapter I'd get the Super Joy Box 5. I actually own one and it's sweet. It supports 4 psx adapters at once with anolog of digital control. It doesn't do rumble, but it does everything else. I picked mine up at www.chipzone.com (which is based in NY) and I got it within 3 days.

Dunno what I'd call it though... probably something stupid like VHS^2 :p

The Entertainer or Broadway would be a decent name. It's all about the fun stuff besides games ;)

I did some research and found the ATI Remote Wonder. seems ok.
I use to have the x-10 mouse remote and it's packed with featurs and very customizable but the recieve looks like a POS and also it's buggy and half the time the buttons don't responds.

as for the keyboard/mouse I was lookng for a wireless keyboard with a mouse pointer built into the keyboard.

I HAD the SuperJoy Box4 USB psx adaptor (the one that supports vibrate and 2 psx controller) and got rid of it because it's "unresponsive" actually more like "have slow response". so I'm wary of the SuperJoy Box5 with 4 controller support.

I currently have the SMARTJOY DELUXE (another brand of psx adaptor but only one ocntroller support) and it's very responsive. when I press Left or Right quickly it response really quick on the game but when I tried that on the SJB4 it won't responds so quick, it makes no difference in like RPG but some games like STreet Fighter it's VERY hard to pull a special move out, )

can you load up a game with the SJB5 and move the dpad really fast and tell me if it response fast? (better yet play a Street Fighter type game and see how easy it is for you to do a complex speical move withe joypad. ) That was when I realized how slow the resoponse on the SJB4 was. I noticed that I was able to pull out special move more accurately / easily/ faster on my single pad adaptor
