Powercolor have a pretty big selection and like most other ATI manufacturers, dont tell you the memory speed so you will need to find a review on that product or check for yourself if buying from a store.

I think powercolor are as good as any other 3rd party 8500 and better than some.
I think it might be the second one except it's LE instead of PRO, i found this card for 113 euro on www.profibuy.com (which sends its products to greece, where I'm living), but I figured out that sending taxes are enough to close the gap between their prices and prices in retail stores here in my country. Only problem is there isn't much variety in products so I have to visit the capital (Athens) to buy a new card. Off course, if I found a good one, I may order it via an online store.
I had the same card. It is actually quite good, execept for the fact that it uses 4ns ram. Nonetheless, I oc'd it to 275.275 no problem, and it went up stable to 300/285 with stock cooling. A very nice card indeed.
thx vlad_m for your reply. If I find this card in a nice price, maybe I'll buy this.Quote:

It should clock to 275/275 with a BIOS change without a problem. I have the PRO card with native 275/275 support and faster 3.5ns memory. However, essentially they are the same card. I also use ATI retail drivers for my card and have not yet had a problem with them.
Check out www.rage3d.com, they should be able to help you with overclocking and BIOS issues.
