Abit BE7-Raid low voltage alarm?
I just built up an Abit BE7-Raid with a P4 2.4GHz "B" 533fsb chip. I have 1024MB (2 512 sticks) of Mushkin PC2700 ram. The system runs fine with winXP Pro SP1.
But when I installed Winbond Hardware Doctor I got a low-voltage alarm. The voltage on the "Vio" line reads "3.0" to 3.1" or so, and the default low is 3.4 I think. The CPU is running at 38-39C.
(By the way, I transferred this hardware from an [awful] Asus P4S8X. I didn't apply any heat paste to the chip when I reinstalled, and I notice that it is running +5 degrees from my previous build.)
Anyway, back to the voltage... what does this mean? I have a 420W PS that came with my Chieftec case. The PS is Turbolink brand.
Also, what do the lights on this board mean? The manual gives no explanation, and the amber and red ones are constantly on.
This is the first computer I have ever built, and I am totally unfamiliar with voltage, clock speeds, etc. Thanks in advance...
