RAID Setup
I have a SIIG PCI UATA133 RAID card that I want to set and array up with. I am going to reformat my computer to do this, just to make sure. I have 2 brand new 60 GB Western Digital hard drives to work with. I want 20 GBs to be the C: drive, and the rest to be the D: drive. How do I set this up? Where do I set this up at? I have never even seen a raid configuration setup, so I don't even know where to start. I will be working with the computer in my sig. Any help you guys can give will help so much.

You will be best off doing a search on the forums for raid arrays, there are lots of posts on it. Anyway you first need to decide what type of raid array you are going to use Raid 0 or Raid 1. Use the utility that comes with your raid card to setup the raid. Then use fdisk or something like it to partition the array as you please. Format and you are set to go.
In your motherboards bios menu you will need to set your first boot device to RAID/SCSI if you plan on using this array as your booting device.
Hope this helps

make sure that you install the drivers during your os install. not sure about your h/w but winxp in my case would not see the harddive array unless i installed the driver disk at the beginning (f6) during setup......
might help prevent any headaches if you forget a simple step like this.....
