Not to start any fights but is there a top performing gaming system right now and if so who can put out the specs?
Here or just one in general ??
Fastest\latest of these:
P4
RDRAM at 512MB
Radeon 9700 Pro
Mobo that support the newer RDRAM and HT
Look at the top scorers on 3dmark's web page. That will probably be your best bet. Last I saw some guy had ~27k with liquid nitrogen cooled p4 and a dry ice cooled radeon 9700 pro. wow.
But that wasn't at default was it? Those are usually run at lower res. Still that is amazing, although quite temporary. Um, i would say the best would be a 3.06 p4 with rdram and a 9700 pro. Not sure you can really beat that but it will cost an arm and a leg (maybe a second arm too ;)). For much less you can get a 2.53 with ddr and a 9500 pro and still have a pretty sweet system that will not lag too far behind that other one, except for the lack of HT. A little ocing and you would be right in the running.
Yeah i'm not talkin with exotic cooling I'm just wondering with standard not necessarily stock hsf's. So far its agreed the p4 3.06 rdram radeon 9700pro is the fastest you can get.

C'mon dude ! Is that hard to figure this out now? Boy...
Vatko
Did I ask for a smart A$$ response?? NO. If you can't intelligently respond in a thread then don't respond in it at all. Nice way to join sharky, hope your next 10 posts get better.;)Quote:

Another fast system would be
2800XP overclocked with a 9700 Pro..
2.4Ghz Athlon + 9700Pro = FAAAAAAST
Guys, it is agreed then the;
3.06ghz
RDRAM 512
9700 PRO
is the fastest. What motherboard? The P4T533 (32bit) the P4T533c (16bit), what other motherboard would fit here.
Also, staying in the Pentium line. What would make up the fastest (single CPU) 3.06ghz, DDR system as to what ram and motherboard?
Xaser
Thats what I was mainly wondering. If the fastest athlon machine is as fast as the fastest pentium machine. Disregarding price. And which combination of each would be fastest.Quote:

change RDRAM to DDR and the equation changes to the Athlon XP 2800+. In the future if Barton is released with a 400mhz FSB you'd see the nforce2 mobo take even more advantage of the memory that you originally gave it (assuming it was DDR 400mhz or faster) while the P4 would still be stuck at 333mhz. (This is taking intoconsideration stock speeds)Quote:

Change the P4 DDR to a GB DCDDR MB and then what happens old wise fortune teller.....if and when, if and when.....Quote:

Overclocked Xp 24800 with a Geforce FX *drool*
I'd be pleasing you with an answer, oh young grasshopper.Quote:
