So, will the next chip release be a faster version of whats already out or is it switching over to an all new chip? This goes for intel and amd. Hopefully within the next 2 months something good happens cause thats when i'll complete my new system.

both amd and intel will stay on their current chipsets with their next procs. AMD is rolling out with the barton and intel with p4 3.2Ghz. Actually, the P4 will be released concurrently with the springdale chipset supporting up to 800mhz fsb. Granite bay has been released but no mobos as of yet :(
