So, when are these so called 2nd gen LCD monitors coming out? I seem to recall one monitor coming out that had a 15 ms refresh time. Anyone remember which one that is or have some links to a review? Thank ya.

Interesting...now I am not tech savy at all when it comes to monitors so correct me if I'm wrong. As I seem to recall, when taking respone time into affect you have to calculate several things like draw, re-draw, probably a fade and stuff like that, right? I clearly remember some excitement here when an LCD finally had 15ms total response time, everything taken into effect. Supposedly, it would have no ghosting. At the time, a month or two ago, it was one of like 3 that did so. Plenty of monitors had 15ms draw or re-draw or fade or whatever for a single thing, but not total.
Just want to get an LCD for gaming in a few months and don't know what the market is like/will be like. Thank ya.
Im no expert either but i think you will find response spefications are the total of rise and fall time unless otherwise stated.
The average 25ms monitor might have a 15ms rise and 10ms fall time.
Some monitors have faster rise than fall times tho most are faster to fall and Im not 100% sure but i think faster fall time is more important for preventing trailing.
Hitachi's CML174 17" monitor for instance boasts a 16ms total pixel response time with a rise time of 12ms and a fall time of 4ms.
