For the love of god avoid assembly language...learn it on your own..its not that hard and the classes are so dry and boring.
Unfortunately it's required for my major.
Required for mine as well ... what are you guys learning? Since we've got a Sun server, we're doing all our assembly in SPARC. Bleck
Posidon, j00 r gh3y...omgomgogmogmlololomogmomgololololol
I crack myself up.
Kulderas and Posidon j00 both ar4 ****!! OMG OMG OMG lol
hahahahaha lol OMG OMG OMG
(Just so everyone knows, Kulderas, and Posidon are gheyzor, but they are still my friends)
It's a requirement at most schools, though it is boring. It took an entire semester to learn how to output to a screen using the ARM assembler. At least you get to understand what hardware terms really mean. For example, I knew that DMA allowed faster data transfer between components, but know I know how it's handled by the CPU. Also insteresting to learn about how interrupts are handled and how the platforms differ.
I took Assembler a year ago, damn it was soooo boring, and I honestly gotta say I didnt learned much, I still dont know how I passed that class
Altough its true, it's amazing finding out about all the interruptions and how it all works on the lower levels of programming
