Windows XP for $5.00
I met a college student at Micro Center and he mentioned he would like to buy Windows XP but couldn't afford it. I asked if he was a full time student and he said yes. I suggested he visit his college book store along with his student ID card. Microsoft makes
Windows XP available to full time college students for next to nothing. The University of Cincinnati sells it to full time students for $5.00.;)

It's awesome that students get their software so cheap, but I would really be interested in seeing (and perhaps this is already possible, but I haven't read anything about it), are some deals for people that are self-taught! I have gotten my A+, working on Net+ and I do a lot of web development work. I consider myself a student since I am constantly studying, but unfortunately I do not get any of the benefits of a real full time college student. AFAIK I can't file any of the books or materials I buy on my taxes, I can't get any deals on the software I need to learn. Now if there was a program that could get me 2k, VB studio, etc. for even $20 I would be one happy mofo.
