What about this setup
Ok, klipsch is releasing this new gmx system in february. Supposedly its going to have superior satellites to the rest of the promedia line yet the sub is going to be lacking quite a bit. As of now i'm working toward my third computer system and will be needing another set of speakers. What I was thinking is how would the gmx satellites sound hooked up to the promedia 5.1 sub? I haven't really checked out their power specs or if they could handle it yet but what do you guys think. Wouldn't that seem to give you the ultimate multimedia system if these satellites are all they are talking them up to be?

I am sure that for MM it will be pretty bad a$$.
But thats only if everything matches up, I mean you might have to carry the crossover too.
EDIT: 1ct....2 words...Bi Amplification ;) just think about it.

Yeah I thought of that after I posted it but, you never know. I'm still thinking the crossover to the current satellites "should" blend well with the gmx as long as they can take the same power. Or, maybe not because klipsch probably would have already thought of that.

I still say the PM5.1 will blow the GMX away :)

If you're buying a new A2, they have a driver option that allows you to adjust the point of your internal crossover between sub/sats.
Using 2 actual poweramps would be a bit sketchy though. I'd think you should be good though, even if the sub overpowers the sats a bit. Just so long as you don't crank them. It's common for speaker companies to be a bit conservative with power ratings.
