1942 classes

OK, I have a BF1942 question for y'all... What I want to know is why there are always so many assault classes in any given game. From what I gather, people use assault as their primary anti-infantry class, but from my observations, and by what it SAYS in the *game manual*, is that the medic has a better anti-infantry gun PLUS the ability to heal himself! I don't know how many times that's saved my ***. So why don't more people use medic!? So am I missing something or is the game just being played by a bunch of dunces?

Anywho, I love the game... just something I was wondering, who's the dunce?

I've always played the medic over the assault because I always thought the guns were better, and healing is a must.

it's to hard to click on "medic"

I have always been able to kill another player in fewer shots with the assault rifle, than I have with the medic's gun. This could be "just me," but I have experienced this.

I use to be a medic all the time, now i'm assult all the time... just seems like the assult gun is more powerful and accurate.

I'm usually the anti-tank because it gives me great satisfaction seeing a tank get blown up...

I used to be a Medic most of the time but after switching to Assault I have never gone back. I guess it's mainly because the gun is much more powerful. Most of the time I don't need to heal on the field but if I do then I try and run to the nearest healing station or find a medic...

I'm the exact opposite. I used to be assault all the time, then I tried medic and never went back. Maybe I'll try assault again...

Whenever I go anti-tank I usually get my *** handed to me by enemy infantry.... or by tanks :confused:

yeah to tell you the truth anti-tanks don't do much damage to tanks...it's kinda lame that it takes like 3-4 shots for some tanks...but if you stick with assault teammates and actually work then you can be effective...like if you have like 2 assaults and 2 anti-tanks in a group you can do some damage with that...like the assaults go in front and when they see a tank then they hide and anti-tanks come out and blow it up and since you got 2 of them it just reduces the amount of time to kill it in half...assuming the tank is undamaged too...oh and if you need to kill some people use your pistol and aim for the head...because the bazooka does hardly any damage against humans unless it hits them on a direct hit then it's usually fatal...I only use the bazooka on humans if they just stand there because it's hard to dodge anyways...

Yea, I have gotten in a couple of fatal bazookas (or panzerschreks :p ) by hitting infantry. It actually isn't that hard if the enemy isn't that skilled and makes predictable movements. If they start jumping around though then I whip my pistol out and headshot away :)

The Assault guns have more power and more accuracy then the Medics machine gun. http://www.acm.org/tog/editors/erich/1942/weapons.html

In close combat a medic is OK but do not try to exchange long range shots with a assault class,you will lose ever time.
