I dont know how true this is steppy, but certainly if this is the case nvidia fan boys will be really mad
BTW that doesnt include me!
And this leaves ati pretty much open for their plans and if they can launch 9900 pro in time, rumors say they will then nvidia does have a major task on their hands.
Only time will tell though!
I think it means that, in line with previous rumors, that the NV35 may be released at the same time as Doom 3 which should be spring time or so.
That would be most excellent.
What's that rumbling sound in the distance?
Can it be... the sound of heads rolling at the Nvidia HQ?
---------------
Considering the fun/performance I've had so far really makes me believe that the Radeon 9700pro I bought late October 2002 have been the best hardware decision I've ever made!
The earliest rumor I've heard about NV35 puts it at june, and for a part slated originally for Nov(and look at the last card they tried to force out(the FX)), I think June is a VERY optimistic rumor(unless that is the PAPER launch date). I personally don't think they'd be able to move it more than 2 months ahead of schedule.Quote:

I told you it was only gonna be released in limited quantities. Now there won't even be a general sale ultra.
I'm not so much an "nvidia fanboy" I'm just a rich spoiled kid who wants his damned good video card, however I do like nvidia better and it hurt me to have to go for the 9700 pro. But I have faith. Nvidia will right they're wrong and get back on top =P
Well, I guess it's time to rip my Nvidia sticker of my case and go get a 9700pro(?) :(
u got that right!Quote:

Or you could do what 99% of the market is doing... waiting for the card that will run Doom 3 the best. Money is on the NV35.
Good move for Nvidia business and costumer trust imho, card was way to hot , way to noysy , with mediocre performance and the price tag was not justifyed .
hm i guess that ati will have no competition in high end until NV35 is out... I wonder if thats the same time as R400 is supposed to be out or 'just' R350 with .013 and DDRII?

BTW are there any previews for GFX 5800 non-ultra? I wonder if it is faster then non-pro 9700?
Seems true here is the link http://www.hardocp.com/ .:(
It's really looking to be true now. PNY has updated there webpage, they removed the ULTRA out of the name and lowered the specs.
http://www.pny.com/home/products/Vcard_fx.cfm
GeForce FX Specifications
CineFX Engine providing cinematic-quality special effects
400MHz core Clock
400MHz memory clock (800 MHz Effective memory Clock)
Ouch :( I know Nvidia can bounce back from this, but this is in no way helping them.
I have also read of dropping sales for Xbox, and that the relation between Nvidia and Microsoft isn't the greatest. This overall effect could take a bigger hit on Nvidia.
With the R350 coming out anytime, Its sure going to put a stake into there heart.
