From a scanning perspective all MS optical mice preform the same.
I doubt you'll see much improvement if your already using a MS optical...
do you have it connecte in the ps2 port?
if you do, try the usb. it 'reads' faster than ps2
intellimouse explorer!got mine for $29!(3.0)
I use a Microsoft Explorer 3.0. I *was* using the mx700 for a while, but I didn't really like it. Something just felt wrong, so I went back to my wired one. But a lot of the people at my LAN parties threw in their explorers for mx300's, so I guess it's whatever floats your boat.
I use a logitech mouse, ya know the ones with the lasers on the bottom of it. It's not cordless though but I don't care cause I don't like replacing batteries constantly. Atleast this one I don't gotta clean like ball mouses
I'm using the MS IntelliMouse Explorer. Think I payed around $35.00 for it. When I get sick of it, I'm going to get the LogicTech cordless, optical and comes with a recharging station. My buddy has two of them and they feel great. Go check it out! I think you will like it:)
Just got my mx300 from googlegear, works great, very precise, no complain.
i like the boomslang 2000 i had before i sold it. people prefer optical nowadays, call me old fashioned but i like the classic ball movement. the movement was smooth and precise (you have to get used to the sensitivity). i got like 70%+ hs with the tmp haha :D
you can probably get them on ebay for less than $50.
edit: people are going to disagree with me on the boomslang, but if you want to go optical i would say mx300/500 or explorer 3.0
Logitech MX500 is my current mouse and I like it much more then the MS 3.0 i used before.
I have the MX700 and it is great. Pricy, but great
Yup, I hate batteries  If you can't find the MX500 the Logitech MouseMan Dual-optical corded mouse is just a good. :)Quote:
