A KVM is indeed better, you still can't switch the keyboard and mouse inputs with that monitor :p
it's good, works like the V part of a KVM.
A buddy has a monitor with that feature, and he just has 2 keyboards, and 2 mice. Since he rarely needs to interact with the second computer (server) it's not that big of a deal.
No you can't...but monitors take up a bit more space than a keyboard & mouse combined. ;)Quote:

Comes in quite handy cause I use my old 900 MHz Athlon for videocapture and the switch i use creates a ghost image, so now i use the monitor's inputs for both PCs and the switch box for keyboard/mouse.
I have all my computers connected to a 4-port KVM switch. It works great :)
The ghosting you are getting from your KVM is from setting the resolution/refresh rate higher then what the switch box supports.
