Good news for some.

if anyone wants to pay $500, a radeon9700 can be had for half that and you get 2/3 the performance.......

I have to live with what I have for awhile. Can't afford to put out the bucks for toys right now.

I know Colussus is rich, he will buy one :)

I sure sure he can buy one for me too.

Well, I dont have a 128MB version on order. I opted for the 256MB. I didnt want to buy the 128MB and then the 256MB.. Just seemed like a waste of money...

However the 9700Pro vs. 9800Pro is very close. The 9800Pro is only about 15% faster...

Geez, how bout you sell me your 9700Pro Colossus? I mean, you wont miss it that much, it might get jeolous that you love his bigger brother more. Plus, my geforce3 has been talking back to me lately...

I'm not gonna buy one. First thing, I am short on cash since I have a girl! And, my Geforce 3 is good enough for now. I barely ever play games anymore as it is.

Took your advice and went frmo and 3DMark03 score of 833 to 1033, can you guess how I did it?

Same here, don't have the cash for all of these hi-tech toys. I really have spent too much on computers in the last 6 months. I am afraid my money will go to house repairs.:D

I sold my ti4600 300/730 never oced the core and got a ti4200 at 280/525 and am getting 90% of the performance for a bit over half the price. granted my cpu is a bottleneck anyway, but even if not, a ti4600 is only 33% faster than a ti4200

I'm waiting for 256 mb version.

I was gonna wait for the 256 meg but I just can't do it. Too many peeps nipping at my heels in 3D Mark! :D

MarcDaddy's gettin one. He's had one on pre-order for weeks now. :cool:

I got my 9700 Pro and I am more than happy. What else do you want, guys? Some extra FPS? You would not be able to see it visually anyway. Waste of money.........
