9700pro AIW DOA???

I just built another computer system, with 8rda, barton 2500, 2 sticks kingston hyperx pc3500, and ati 9700pro AIW. The problem is, when I have the ati card in the agp slot and press the power button the computer blinks power for just a second then does nothing as in, shuts off and won't come back on unless i unplug the psu and plug it back in then it just blinks again. Also, its an antec true power 550 PS. When I put my old g2 gts in the computer comes on fine. I put the ATI in another one of my computers that is running fine but this time the power comes on but no post(different kind of mobo and power supply). I put the original video card back in and it posts fine. Any Ideas????? And yes, I did connect the card to the power supply.

ohh yeah, that sounds like a dead card to me.

hmm, IF that mobo has 8x AGP... Try switching to 4x AGP. And see if that clears up the problem...

Otherwise it sounds like a DOA

Yeah, the other mobo I tried it on is 4x and it wouldn't work there either.
