They seem a bit expensive.. or maybe that's just cuz the inkjets I use have more expensive cartridges than the actual print device :P Maybe go to epinions.com and look at the pictures of whatever brand you like. Or get some paint and DIY? It'd be the first printer mod I'd heard of :)
Lexmark has a couple of mono laser printer models in black starting at ~$300 list price for a 1200 dpi and up to 20ppm.
*edit* Krylon has some "color" products for laser printer cases, too. :cool:
Best bet is not to worry about color and buy for performance. You can always paint it to suit your other equipment.
