memory -> ram

Hi

1.Would I get more speed if I bought cas 2 memory instead of cas 2.5, or would I collect more speed if I bought 433 Mhz istead of 400?
How much faster is a 512 mb module with cas2 that runns in 433 Mhz,

2.Then a 512 mb module with cas2.5 that runns in 400 Mhz,

3.Now I'm confused!!!

well, i would go for the cas 2, but i would wait for some more responses.

i would go for lower timings (CAS 2) because the best performance comes with running the ram in synch with the FSB... and you won't be running it at 434mhz is my guess.... heh

buying ram that is faster or has better timings doesn't mean that you'll automatically have faster memory speeds. you need to set your timings in the bios, and your motherboard must be capable of running at the rated speed in order to take FULL advantage of the faster ram. thing of memory speeds as ratings, not how fast they actually function.
