There are different brands like chaintech , akasa , vantec ,thermaltake. Vantec costs twice as much as akasa. and akasa is the cheapest . does brand make difference? shall i buy the akasa (the cheapest)?

Nope, brand makes no difference. Get the cheapest ones you can find. Dunno where yer shopping, but SVC sells theirs cheap.
As BlueOval says, brand makes no difference to quality. With brand named cables you're basically paying for the name, as with any branded product.
You guys should of told me that before i bought my antec uv reactive round cables. Oh well.
Wow, those SVC prices are quite cheap. Guess I'll put in a order.
That isn't quite accurate. I was reading reviews on a site (wish I could remember what site) and they had compared Antecs UV cobra cables to SVC's and some other generic. The Antec cables consistently performed better (read faster throughput). The antec cables do cost more but they do perform better. Will you notice the difference.... I dunno but they are better cables performance wise.Quote:

You beat me to it. I have something else to add though: the cheap SVC cables are not as tightly encased as I'd have like them to be. I tried the copper braided and they are much better. Only about a $1 more too.:) Now, that's not a big deal, but why have the cover be loose?:confused:Quote:

i have the uv reactive ones from svc, and they are fine. a rounded cable is a rounded cable. end of story.
I agree with Philip here. Whatever minute difference there is in performance you won't be able to see it. Pay an extra dollar per cable for tighter covers if you want to, but I'm highly satisfied with mine from SVC.
I'm aware of the differences, I mean, I highly doubt every round cable on the market is the same (performance wise), but I just don't care. SVC.com has the silver ones far cheaper than anyone else, so thats where I'm getting mine from:cool:
