128 MB GF4 owners lend me your ear :)

I recently (2 days ago) got a BFG GF4 Ti 4200 128MB Se (8x AGP version). According to their website www.bfgtech.com the 128 MB version of this card is clocked at 250 MHz for the core and 444 MHz for the memory (500 MHz for the 64 MB version).
I just installed the coolbits registry tweak to allow the GF4 tab under the display properties to show me the actual clock speeds and they turn out to be 250/513...
Is that anything to be worried about?
Bad info on website?
How can this discrepency be explained?
What are your mem speeds? (128 MB cards/default-nonoc)
Anyone out there with the same card?
(while this card is great, nice 10k 2k1 score, i rather it doesn't die within a week or two :) )

I wouldnt think that is right... Well I never seen a 64MB card be clocked higher then the 128MB card... It's usually the other way around.

What does it display on the screen for the video card when you first turn on your computer? My system display that I have a 128MB GF4. Note that this screen is the very first thing to appear, before the POST screen, and is only there are very short period of time, so you gotta look quickly.

Believe it or not the 64meg cards are for some reason clocked slightly higher than their 128 meg counterparts. Don't know why but I remember that when I bought my 128meg 4200....almost made me buy a 64 meg version but I figured I'd clock it past hte 64meg card anyway:D

As far as your card being clocked at 513 I wouldn't worry about it unless you're having artifact or freezing problems. Almost everyone clocks theirs past that anyway.

the ti4200 core is great and the msi mem is great i am running at

290.3core/580.5mem and there hasn't been a single glitch what so ever, hell i can touch both of the pieces with my finger forever, they don't even get that hot. I could do alot more i have no doubt.

And I have looked from the start...
This damn sony G420 monitor just isn't fast enough for my pc :)
However in the properties and dxdiag this displays as a 128 MB card
(i'm just wondering why it is clocked above its specs)

Since I did lend you my ear... When do I get it back???

I exspect it to be washed and cleaned before returning it and please make sure you return it in the same shape,color, etc as it was when I gave it to you!

dude, if you are so worried, clock it back down. I overclocked mine to 280/520 and you could probably get yours up to my speeds :D

As far as artefacting/lockups go:
In 3dmark 2k1 there were a couple pixels on that rotating horse that seemed out of place (like 2 or 3 dots just didn't quite blend in with the horse), other than that both 3dmark 2k1 and 2k3 finished without any graphical glitches i noticed (this card does OHHH so much better in the nature thing than the old gf3 :) ).
Haven't had a lockup yet, haven't taxed the card in a game yet either
(don't think rise of nations can even start to stress it)
Maybe I should go back to Unreal2 and play at 1600x1200.
(the gf3 got a bit laggy at 1280x1024, during the start of missions only though)

I don't suppose there is a way to display temps on this card? :)

Skywize, My Geforce 4 Ti4200 128MB also came clocked at 250/513. It has never given me any trouble at this speed. :)

the REFERENCE 128mb boards used slower ram, hence the ram speed.

Not all cards did though.

Wow i can only get my 4400 to 290/585 before I notice artifacting.

I can take my GF4 4400 to 302/665 I believe it was :)
