Will this work?
I'm building up a new puter and wanted to transfer my current MB (asus a7v133) to an IBM Aptiva E56 computer. Obviously I'll be pulling out the current MB on that puter, but wasn't sure if my asus MB will fit in this case. I also noticed that the IBM PS (200w PS i beleive) has a plug with only a single row of 6(?) little connectors, while the asus MB requires the larger plug. Will I need to buy a new PS for this config? I'm not sure what kind of case the aptiva uses, but i think it is a ATX generic. It's basically the size of my newer enlight 7237 case. Basically, I'm going through all of this b/c I want to upgrade my current MB, processor, RAM in the enlight case and am transferring these components to the old Aptiva so i can use this puter at work.

When did you buy the Optiva? If it was more than a year ago, you probably can't use the IBM case. I seriously doubt if the mobo would even match up to the standoffs.

The Aptiva was purchased by my gf. I think she said she bought it about 3-4 years ago. It's only got a 266mhz cpu in it, so it's at least that old. I pulled the case off of it last night and just eye-balled the insides. so you don't think the asus mb will fit? i thought the IBM was an atx case, therefore it would.
