console first person shooters

I was recently at a game store and I saw Quake 3 areana for dreamcast laying in the bargain bin. I decided to go ahead and pay the $5 for it just so I could test it out vs. qualke 3 on PC. Well when i plugged it in my $50 dreamcast i found it wasn't too bad. even though the controls are horrible the graphics were not really that bad. I know the resoution was lower but the since its on a TV it doesn't matter. And i couldn't notice that it was going at 30fps.
If you lined up Q# for PC and DC next to each other i could notice the difference easily. But after not playing Q3 for a while it wasnt too bad. I kinda was hoping that i could use the dreamcast for when i have a couple of friends over and we want to do a little lan party. I have a cable connection with 3 ip adresses, no broadband modem on DC, yet. Is there anyway i can hook my 2 pcs and the dc up without signing up seganet? maybe use hook the phoneline outa the DC straight into the PC? anyway i hope that there wil again be console games that you can play online vs. PC gamers.
