Gaming Mouse

First off I love optical mice because they never get dirty...

I have a Microsoft Intellimouse Optical

But the thing sucks for FPS games like CS, it skips all the time, it's hard to get it to move well in the games. I need a new one and would like to keep the extra buttons for web browsing. I have had good times with Logitech mice but he ones with extra buttons, well their designs really bug me when I'm using them. Anyone have any recomendations. Willing to try just about anything once.

I just switched from the mouse you linked to (the silver and black one), to the Logitech MX500 and I love it. It's heavier than my old Microsoft, but I like the weight better:)

Well, I'd have to definatley put a vote down for logitech. They make the best mouses out there for the pc imho. I had similar problems with the microsoft mouse that i bought too... i took it back.

I love my Logitech MX500... it feels somewhat odd at first, but once you get used to it, you'll never want to go back. I haven't had any of the skipping problems with games that you speak of.

I really like the feel of my Intellimouse Explorer 3.

I have seen a lot of posts where people say the MX500 is the best gaming mouse they have ever used, but I have not tried it at all. They also like the MX700 for gaming & say it plays fast in games. Again I don't know first hand, only what I have read...
These guys seem to like there MX500.....

I really like my Intelligent Wireless Optical Mouse, but the damn batters don't last as long as I would like.....

logitech mx500, pair it with some mouse skates and either an everglide or ratpadz mousepad, you will be in mousing heaven.

Where can I get these mouse skates or these mouse pads you speak of..

www.everglide.com they sell both the pads and mouse skates. havent used the "optical" pads, i just have a black giganta. ratpadz you can buy from newegg. and a good place that sells cheapo mouse skates is http://www.fragstore.com/ get the teflon mouse pads, they are cheap and they work GREAT.

I will NEVER go back to a standard mouse after having used a Trackball. Logitech Mouseman, baby. Woot!

Heh, anyways thanks for the input all I'm gonna check out the MX500 and see whats up. If I don't like it I'll just take it back. I'll let you know how it goes.:D

There are too many darn logitech fanboys here. The one that pa555 posted is the best mouse. It has been going on strong for more than a year and a half.

for strictly gaming...razer makes the best mouse EVAR!

I really like the Logitech, but I got the Intellimouse Explorer 3.0 and it conforms right to my hand and is perfectly comfortable when playing CS but it really depends on the person I guess. :cool:
