Hey guys, I've got a dillemma for you. My buddy and I busted out this game, and it won't run. Are there any patches for XP or 2000 for it? We've tried running in compatability mode, but to no avail. It won't even load. Any ideas?

Is this the really old Windows 95 version?
That game was crap, not even close to the card game...
Have you tried right-clicking on the executable and when in "Properties" select "Run in compatible mode" (or sth like that)?? Otherwise, you'd be hosed... and better off playing MTG Online.
He did say he tried that in the post.Quote:

Yea, it doesn't work. Any other suggestions?
I have the game, there is no way to get it to run under XP.
Tried everything. If you REALLY want to play it. I would suggest duel booting and loading 98se. It is worth it :)
i was afraid of that. thanks for the help.
I also have that game. I also could never get it to run under XP.
Well well well...I had it running under Xp and 2k.Quote:

For starters you'll have to copy the setup folder to your HD and make setup.exe run in win 95 compatibility mode.
Then you need to apply patched for XP/2k, and this is the real challenge.
I tried hard and long but couldnt find any official support for this game (ie no downloads). Took me bunches of google searches to find those patches, just start searching for 'magic the gathering windows xp' and stuffs like it...
Also I could never ever buy any cards on windows XP, however that part of the game worked fine on 2k.
