What was the absolute max oc your tbred did and at what voltage? There is no way a tbred is crap just cause it wont do 2.6GHz. I have pointed out to him not many tbreds to 2.47GHz that mine does

My old Asus A7N8X Deluxe booted my 2100 AIUHB DUT3C at 2500mhz, but it crashed immediately when coming into Windows.
Was vcore and cooling limited - I think the CPU could have done more.
Had my 2100+ upto 2.4ghz on my KT400 at 1.8v vcore, what can I say thats as high as the vcore would go and it would only do 2.65v`s for vdimm.:(
my 1800+ JUIHB 0306 does just a little over 2.2Ghz stable, as i type this i'm at 2.218. it will go a little higher, but it's only about 90% stable there so....
What vcore, and what FSB/multi?Quote:

Ladies and gentlemen... again... Tbird took a perfectly logical conversation between me and him, twisted the facts, and makes me look like an idiot. Here we have another rare case of "stupidism".
Anyways, he IM'ed me and kept ranting about how damn "impressive" his overclock is... and I had to shut him down and say there was nothing impressive about it; especially when there is 1700+'s floating around that can do 2.5+ GHz ;). IMO, 2.47Ghz out of a Tbred B is far from being impressive. 2.6 isn't impressive either. You know what's impressive? RARE overclocks. Like 2.8+ is impressive. TOO many people get 2.6GHz to make it impressive anymore. Just check out the AMD database over at VR-Zone Tbirdy ;). Since you consider anymore than 2.47GHz to be EXTREMELY rare ;).
OK, just to be fair: Are we talking air or water cooling? Most if not all (and I didn't even look) of the wack o/c's I see are water cooled.Quote:

Saying that, though, I think 2.5 is pretty good. BUT, it shure ain't good enough to point it out as being particularly noteworthy....

Alright.... you have a point. So to make it fair.. let's include only the air-cooled OC's. Let's change the scheme alittle. 2.6+ will be impressive... anything below will be "on par". Off the top of my head... three diffrent Tbreds come to mind that broke the 2.6GHz barrier on air. My 2100+, my 2400+... and Sapasion's 2100+ ;) :) (Im sure there is more, but I havent actually browsed the forum yet for more). Now, I know what Tbird is going to say... "the 2400+ doesn't count because the clock speed is already 2.0GHz, so it has an advantage" Or something lame like that. So here's this... why is it that Mo's 1700+ can hit 2.5+GHz? <<< This one goes for Tbird.
You know, thx for agreeing....but I'm sure you'd agree that even discussing this brings credibility to a point that really has none....Quote:

But, T-bird, I have a question: This 2.47: Can u run 24/7 with it? I do see you said 'absolute best'....
I dont think 2.4x on a XP2000 is all that impressive....
I think it would be considered average...
I always wondered how well I could overclock an XP :D
Hey Colossus, you've got PM.
I noticed... I replied :)

I agree... Tbird is putting me on blast, Christina Aguilera>>>Eminem style! :D
Big C... I recommend you test out an AMD system soon :). They are fun to just play around with. A 2500+ along with an NF7-S. Believe me, You'll be surprised at how fast they actually are :). Dont forget to slap 2k PRO on there too! :D
*lol* Eminem style!
I know they can be quick... But with my three other main setups... Do you really think a 2500 can keep up with my Intels? :D
