The radeon9800 is very tempting!

There is a chance I will upgrade to that card if:

1. black friday at best buy for below $200
2. I break 19k marks
3. It overclocks to 400/350 or more(I know im asking alot, but it must overclock like a champ!)
4. I must see a major difference in games across the board and it must not be overkill. getting 60fps at 2048x1536 is considered overkill.
5. There is a pretty good chance ill get the 9800, but whether I keep it or not is for me to decide if I really need all that speed when a ti4200 is absolutely plenty for my needs. a 9800 would not just be for 3dmark, but to let me run every game out there at any res and setting I could max it to :)

it would have to be a 9800 np, and the cheapest i've seen those is 260(rebates) at best buy.

I say we just let him do whatever he want's to do. Because if for whatever lame reason he doesn't like it (we all know him well) he's going to blame the "bad purchase" on us ;) :).

First... Any sale on Black Friday will NOT bring the 9800 NP below $200, No way in hell!!! So keep dreaming!

Second, you will probably be lucky to get 18k with your setup... You have proven over and over... well never mind

Do whatever you want.. I am tired and you never listen anyway...

I am in 2nd place, just 60 marks below first place but I just cant get those without spending $150 on better ram or a v mod to my card. I dont even know if they will have 9800s at black friday, but if they do and if they are $180 or so(I can dream) I may get one just if to test it out then sell it to a friend cheap so he can enjoy it more fully on his 3.5GHz p4. now you see why I have older cards? with the cpu I have, the performance differences arent great in games, even though I eat stock xp3200s, I am still gonna bottleneck a 9800 if ill be lucky to break 18k :mad: :mad:

i say you get 12 ti4200's and tape them all together and you'll get 503 fps at 5000x45039234 and it works trust me.
