Thinkpad T22 Keyboard
Hey I've got kind of a messed up scenario.. I managed to spill a sprite on my laptop keyboard. When I press a key it's like there's sand underneath the keys or something. It's really bad.
I went ahead and removed the keyboard and some keys only to discover that there isn't much to see, or feel - I can't even feel the sticky residue! On anything! =(
Any suggestions how to clean this thing? Right now my only idea is to put it under the hose for a while and then let it air out for a few days..

Is it still covered under warrenty? I dropped my T20 and the plastic next to the screen cracked so I sent it in, even though they shouldn't have covered it. Took 3 days from dropping the package in the mail to getting it at my doorstep and the thing looked brand new :)

Yeah, I thought the warranty was expired, but I called IBM anyway to find out (i didnt try getting the KB replaced yet) but it's under warranty until november 9th, 2004! hehe.. now I just need to come up with a believable lie, because.. you're right, they sometimes can be nice and do like what they did for you, but I remember once a user of mine had her LCD break because she dropped it in the airport going through security.. and at the time I was under the impression they really do cover stuff like that, if you buy some kind of enhanced warranty... nope... user ended up having to buy a new laptop because the cheapest repair on that was still close to $900.00, most averaged about $1200.00, so a new laptop was purchased for about the same amount instead..
I'm just going to play dumb.. "Yea...uhm.... a user... brought this to me, and... it just isn't working right. Do you have any idea what might cause something like this? Or what I could do to get it working again? Oh...its under warranty you say? I see.. o you're going to replace it? o okay.." lol..
