Why does this happen? What settings do I have to change to fix it? Its very annoying to have light come out of the ground when its not suppose to. I already updated to patch 2.15. I recently did a clean format. I have the latest drivers installed. This is how it looks:

I fixed it. It turns out to be a bad blood patch. When I downloaded it, it said Spearhead compatible... but i guess not.
Just an FYI, thats a missing texture you see on the ground there (not light). Thats the basic skin with no texture in any Quake 3 engine game.

How do you tell what engine it is??? OpenGL, DirectX.. does it say on the box of the game or something?
