Aero 7+ ???
http://www.coolermaster.com/retail/p...1&product_id=9
My neighbor bought this thing yesterday. With a shot of ASIII, he ran at 31 degrees idle, and never got above 40 overclocked to 11 X 200 on his Xp2500 at full load! Anybody else have one? I may stock it in the future...

Aero 7+
I don't have it myself but my nephew does. He has the same board as me but he's got a 2600+ T'bred. He doesn't OC, his temp's about 35C idle and about 40C-42C full (this is good temp for a hot country such as mine :) ) Of course, if he uses a good case (he's got a generic 2 fan case :( ) his temp would be lower. And let's not talk about his temp in an a/c environment. :D Price over in my neck of the wood is about US$22 - don't know if it's expensive or not but I intend to get one myself as it's cheap to me.:D

Two questions I have for the original poster:
1) What are the ambient room temps?
2) How is the noise level?
I've heard varying reports that say the fan produces some annoying noise and/or vibration. Is that true with your buddy's setup?

We put his rig together in my lab downstairs. My A/C is set to 74 degrees, but being in the basement temps down there are probably sub 70, like 68 maybe.
It did produce a different whine than an axial fan produces, but was no more noisy than say my volcano 9. It's max rpm is in the mid 3k, where as my volcano 9 will do 5500. It has a variable speed control that we set to half way which the bios showed as 2800 rpm, and it seemed to do fine. mikey says they run less than $25 in his market, but my buddy paid $44. Anybody else know what they sell for?

bought mine for 25$ at a local PC-Club. Its on par with my AX-7+Smart Fan II combo.

Thanks for the feedback, drs1771.
I've been considering trying the Aero 7+ out for myself. I have been a devoted Thermalright fan all these years, but lately I've been buying the Vantec Aeroflow, simply because of their unique and innovative design. They do very well cooling my XP chips.
But, innovation is the spice of life and I think they may be on to something with the axial fan concept. I would like to see those fans put out a few more cfms though.
Of course, one reason you're getting such good temps is the ambient room temps. I would like to see what those HSFs will do in a room with temps in the high 80's and low 90's.

i got the Aero 7 fan on an SK-7 and the temps can range from 35-40C idle, either ambient temps are screwing with or the thermal cover on the cpu, and there's plenty of ASIII on it. oh well.
