Ratpadz

I picked up a Ratpadz mouse pad about a week ago. Just wondering what you guys think about them, since there were a few other more expensive ones I thought about getting, but didn't.

Its pretty dang nice, but I do have two complaints. It's a little bit too high off the desk, which annoyed me at first but I've adapted and it really isn't that bad. That and the pads on the bottom stick well, but still slide a tiny bit when given enough pressure. Maybe this is just my desk though - not sure.

Anyone out there think there is a better alternative to the Ratpadz? And why?

PS. I know this is in gaming, but I figure nobody buys a specialized mousepad to surf the 'Net. Well, maybe, but I got it to game, and I'm sure most of us had the same thing in mind.

I use a fUnc 1030 with my MS 3.0 explorer. I can honestly say that I can't even bare using any other mousepad now. The fUnc has two sides; 1 smooth, 1 rough. The bottom is rubber and sticks to my desk and all the different surfaces I have put it on perfectly. Gaming is alot more fun and my aiming is 10x better than my old generic mousepad. Windows apps. are also alot easier to use. The mouse just glides perfectly.

Don't buy any other mousepad!

I second that! The func surface is absolutely amazing...I've had it for about 2 years now and I have yet to come across another mousepad that equals it....Get it! get it now!

your joking right? i was new to the mousepad world and about 1.5 months ago i bought a ratzpad. im very happy and will not use anything else. i was suprised that it was a hard surface at first since i have been using the "normal" pads but after using i quickly fell in love. i have had no problem with the pad moving on me and im quite suprised why its moving on you. you wont see any complaints here. youve posted in the right place....dont worry about it.;)

Well you will see some complaints, just most of you are insane and think ratpadz is good so you dont hear many of them :p

lol..that epic story was started by yours truly. thank you thank you im here till sunday. to be honest, the bumb that mancora is talking about is pretty much the same size as a regular mousepad. another reason why it doesnt bother me is probably because i bought that gel wrist pad that goes below the mouse pad which makes it comfortable to frag. i highly suggest buying a gel wrist pad no matter what pad you get.

I bought a Ratpad GS about three months ago, and while it is a great (and big!) pad, i am thinking of getting something else. For some reason, my mouse already wore away some of the textre causing some of the parts of the pad to become flat and thus give more traction / resistance. Thats a bad thing. :( I think ill give Icepad a try when i gather up the money, i dont think i will be able to wear away glass :p

What about the everglide destrukt? I am ordering it with everglide mouse skates, supposed to last a loooooooooooong *** time.

I think I am the only one who never experiences the RATPADZ... I guess I dont like my mouse pad more then 1/8" off the desk.. I have an older (since 96) TAZ Mousepad :) Maybe even 95 :eek:

I'm currently using a high-end, 8.5x11" piece of paper as my mouse pad :) It kept getting gunked up on my desk so I'm thinking about getting a mousepad now as my piece of paper is starting to curl up on the edges :( Yeah, I'm reallllllyy lazy.

The DKT pad is nice, but I would still buy a fUnc. :p
