Im antiarmor... i see an enemy helo so i fire a stinger at him and he dodges, he turns around and launches 10 missiles at me while im running around waiting for the stinger to reload! then he proceeds to hover above the respawn and fires missiles as soon as i respawn... :mad: :mad: .... i get in a tank and its so freaking slow the heli casually knockes me out.... i make a run for a plane or heli and the dude blows em up before i can reach em..
Well if you fired a Stinger at it then it should of blown up. Period.
Stingers don't miss IRL.
I never have too much trouble with the helis. Stingers take them out quickly and easily; 1-2 well placed shots and your problems are solved. Just don't miss. It is a bit of a problem when you're in a tank though, but that's what air support is for.
well for me... 1-2 well placed stinger shots takes like 15 seconds.. by then the heli has already unloaded 20 missles on you. :mad:Quote:

thats a pic i took like 1 second after i respawned... i respawned with an rpg in my hand.. had just enough time to press printscreen before i got cratered.. no time to switch weapons... the guy was waiting for me :mad:Quote:

It's not easy and I am not gonna tell you everything we have on a Blackhawk, but I will tell you we're not a sure "kill" for a stinger.Quote:

what I don't get is that people are always like "well I can always take them down with no problems" I mean come on that's bs...if you miss and you're spotted then you're pretty much screwed...combine that with the fact that it's pretty hard to hit them in the first place it makes heli's pretty unstoppable...and that the netcode in the game is kinda screwy...sometimes it displays the hit but it won't register...I'm not saying that the heli's are overpowered or anything...but there should be better...easier and more ways to take them out...

bah helo's are sitting ducks, thus why cruchies hate riding in them.
Helo's dont really fly, its all smoke and mirrors!

heavy assult does a nice job of killing helios and planes... in the pic that you posted, it would have torn that helio up like paper...

Ok, like I said I guess all the training we do is a waste of time. Next time I fly to the DMZ in Korea I am gonna tell the pilots to bring the helicopter to a hover and shut all the counter measures off. I'll tell them it's because "it's all smoke and mirrors" and that stuff doesn't work anyway. Let's just let the North Koreans shoot us down and stop wasting time:DQuote:

BTW crunchies love to fly in helicopters cause it saves them days of walking. The hardest part about flying an air assualt with crunchies is getting them off the damn helicopter so we won't be a sitting duck:D
Sorry to tell you but I was stinger my last year in and all your evade and flares wont help you a damn bit against a new stinger. Against a SA-7 or a HN-5 (the two rockets your really training for) you might have a chance but the new stinger isnt only heat-seaking and helicopters even the apache fly too slow. Now your copter might "survive" the blast if your lucky but your pilot better be damn good to land it as fast as possible because your going to need some major repairs before its flight worthy again.Quote:

And lol Ranger don't mind Recon he has a personal hate for copters after he feel asleep and fell out out of one during a crow hop :p
