Why do they always have to do this? Can't they ever get a game out the door on-time. I'm sure they'll officially announce the delay on the 29th... (like always)
What would you rather have, a buggy game or a polished game?;)
A good game that was released on-time for once...
given the economics of product development your wish will go unfulfilled until u find another way around the publisher/developer r/ship...........
11th, 12th, 13th, even 30th is still good for me. What matters is, just as soupnazi and oozle1 the actual game. I would prefer it late, but the best possible.

There was a thread about this already. According to Valve, the game is still scheduled for a Sept 30th release.

LOL! It's not THAT big of a delay. I'm sure they're under a lot of pressure. Leave 'em alone. lol
there was an editoral on planet half-life about how it'll be pushed back and it was all opinion...then on the phl forums there was someone who brought up some very concrete evidence saying that the release date is still sept 30th...while on the other side that says it'll be pushed back there's no evidence that suggests that...

Like I said....There's been no official statement by Valve that it's been delayed. And until that happens, I'm still looking forward to Sept 30th.

OMG!!! i just saw the clips for the first time that valve has released on half life 2. i was BLOWN AWAY. I didn't even expect the game to look this good and have that much interaction with the environment. I can't wait to play this!!!:eek: :eek: :D

Unfortunately, Valve is the developer and not the publisher which is Vivendi. It was someone from Vivendi who originally announced the delay. Other retailers including Amazon, Gamestop & CompUSA list a release date of late October / early November. It can't be coincidence that they're all in a 2 week window 4-6 weeks later than originally expected. It's likely that they have all have received word from someone at Vivendi about the delay. Valve has little to no control over this.Quote:
