I loaded XP-Pro about a week ago, and now the program wants me to change my pass word. This could be a hassle if I have to change it all the time. Is there a way to disable the Password feature and start the program without using a password.
Thank:)

Hey, got some good news for you.....
Yes you can disable the password... well...make it so you don't have to change it is probably easier.
First, goto your control Panel > Then... Goto Administrative Tools.
Now, double click on Computer Management. When the next window pops up, on the left hand side click "Local Users and Groups" Now just below that click users.
After that, in the bigger part of the window it should list all of the users that are installed onto your machine. Right click on the user that you want to edit, and goto Properties. A new window will appear, and just put a check mark on the box "Password never expires"
Using XP there is probably an easier way to do it, then how I have shown you, but I am a WINDOWS 2k pro user, and refuse to change my ways ;) So there maybe a faster way that I just don't know about yet. But I do know this works for you, good luck!
After setting the password to "never expire," do the following to boot straight into Windows without the annoying logon screen:
1. Go to Start>Run
2. Type in "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes), click OK
3. In the window that appears, select the account you wish to make the primary logon.
4. Uncheck the "Users must enter a username and password..." box.
5. Hit Apply and a dialog box will appear asking you to confirm the selected users password.
Click OK.
And that is it!
YOU GUYS ROCK, THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
